Project Description:
The University of Central Florida (UCF) Robotics Laboratory is developing an Autonomous Underwater Vehicle (AUV) for AUVSI and ONR's 13th International Autonomous Underwater Vehicle Competition.

September 26, 2009 (First Meeting):
Today was the first official meeting of the Robotics Club at UCF's 2010 AUV Team. The new sub team leader, Cassondra Puklavage, explained past competition details and showed the 2009 competition videos to the prospective members. After the 2009 competition, the decision was made to retire the mechanical design of the Citronaut in favor of an updated, more effective construction with six degrees of freedom. A full preliminary CAD design for the new vehicle was discussed, and new materials are being ordered to begin construction of the 2010 entry.
