Lindsay Davis will be a junior in the fall of 2014 at the University of Central Florida. She is currently majoring in Electrical Engineering and minoring in Computer Science. She is heavily involved in two clubs, Institute of Electrical and Electronics (IEEE) UCF Chapter and also Robotics Club at UCF. As a member of IEEE she attends regular meetings and officer meetings as she is the Events Chair who helps plan team building activities at regular meetings. In high school she was the lead electrician of the FIRST FRC Robot in 2012, learning how to read schematics, wiring the whole robot, and helping work on the mechanical team. That experience led her to join Robotics at UCF where she is currently on the electrical team. Numerous things interest her and she has not decided what she wants to focus on. She feels a strong pull toward sustainable energy because she loves the environment and wants to help create a better future for the Earth, and the people on it. She also finds herself interested in space and wanting to work on robots that will have purposes in space exploration to further our understanding and knowledge of the universe. Finally the last thing that has her pondering her future is working to develop robots to help people, whether it is prosthesis or entire robotics themselves. Although she has these specific interests currently, she is open to all sorts of opportunities that challenge her. She is very outgoing and loves working with people to solve problems together. She looks forward to what the future holds and how technology will evolve and progress over time, and is excited to become a part of that once she graduates.
