The power systems of robots are sometimes overlooked by builders, but they are essential. Without proper power distribution, you may damage sensors, not supply enough power, and have a poor runtime. Very special attention was given to the design of Calculon's power systems. Every attempt to squeeze every last bit out of the batteries and not waste juice was done.
Documentation of the power system on Calculon is broken into three parts: overview, components, and wiring diagrams. In the components section you will find a list of all the different parts purchased and used to distribute power throughout the vehicle. Any required data sheets for those parts can be found also. The custom PCB section will explain how a printed circuit board was used to help route power in addition to its other functions. Finally, the wiring diagrams section will contain any diagrams necessary for making power cables or fixing/connecting to power plugs.
